Instructors

We have always had the best instructors from around the world and this year, we have Mattias Lundmark and Hanna Zetterman from Sweden, as well as Todd Yannacone and Ramona Staffeld.

These incredible dancers have always looked to the origins of Lindy Hop to ground their fundamentals and from there, they have added their own individual flavour and distinct personalities. They will share their secrets and philosophies so that we can be inspired to keep our dancing fresh too.

Mattias & HannaHANNA & MATTIAS LUNDMARK
Individually, these two talented dancers have achieved much recognition in their work in Tap, Jazz and Lindy Hop. Together, they make a dynamic team that has inspired dancers of all ages around the world.

They have been dancing together for 5 years. During that time, they have been seen in different shows and television all over the world. They were both members of the Rhythm Hot Shots, that later became the Harlem Hot Shots.

They share a great passion for teaching and are internationally recognized, both as performers and teachers. They are known for their high energy, knowledge and great spirit. In Lindy hop-competitions they came 3rd in the fast division at “Ultimate Lindy hop showdown”, Minneapolis. They made finals both in “Hellzapoppin”, New York (2004 and 2005), and in “The Battle”, Stockholm (2006). [http://mandh.se]

Ramona StaffieldRAMONA STAFFIELD
A young teaching veteran of 13 years, Ramona's dancing reflects the beauty, rawness, and rhythm, that make Lindy Hop the best dance in the world. Ramona is known internationally for her wildly graceful style and spontaneity on the dance floor. Her talent was spotted early, for she was only 14 when the late great Frankie Manning asked her to open with him at the Mid-Summer Night Swing series at Lincoln Center (NYC).

Ramona has had a lifelong love for dance, music and culture. In addition to Lindy Hop, Ramona has studied and practiced other forms of dance such as Clogging, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and West African. This diverse background has given Ramona a style that is uniquely hers and a great command of movement and dance that comes to life not only in her inspiring performances but also in her ability to teach.

Born in Ithaca, New York, Ramona moved to New York City in 2003 to continue to learn and refine her craft. Ramona has received numerous accolades and has claimed a number of prestigious dance titles – including World Lindy Hop Champion, and most recently, Authentic Jazz and Blues Champion at the 2009 Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown. Ramona currently resides in Melbourne, Australia, but her work still takes her to all corners of the globe.
