MS FOO YU HAN
Through my journey in dance, I have discovered my passion in teaching children, as well as my love for movement, creativity and self-expression. I hope to inspire other children to pursue their passions with determination and joy.
Yu Han’s love for dance began at the tender age of four. Over the years, she has passionately pursued her interest, receiving extensive training in multiple forms of dance. This includes the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. As she continues to develop her skills, Yu Han is excited to complete the CSTD Ballet Teaching Certification by the end of 2025.
Yu Han is pursued her studies at the School of The Arts, Singapore (SOTA), where she had the opportunity to not only enhance her dance skills but also develop her leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Under the guidance of accomplished instructors, Ms Kelly Ng, Ms Phua Sze Ping, Ms Foo Yun Ying, and Ms Nah Jie Ying, Yu Han has learnt diverse techniques and viewpoints in dance. These experiences have enabled her to grow into a versatile and passionate dancer, eager to take on new challenges.
In 2022, she joined Jitterbugs Swingapore® and has since been mentored by teachers, Ms Tiffany Wrightson, Ms Shanti Gomes, Mr Yang Wei Cheng, and Ms Shermaine Heng. She is thrilled to embark on her journey as a dance teacher, inspired by her mentors and the students she teaches.
Yu Han’s dance journey has been a rich and rewarding experience, punctuated by her interactions with a range of teachers and styles. She has learned from numerous talented instructors, expanded her movement vocabulary and refined her craft. Notably, she has attended masterclasses such as Impel 2019, where she had the opportunity to learn from ballet masters Ohm Jaeyong and Hwang Hyemin, contemporary dancer Yin Yue, and street dancers Hyojin Choi and Lee Jung Lee. In December 2022, Yu Han travelled to Seoul, South Korea, where she attended classes at 1 Million Dance Studios with Austin Park and Yechan Jin, further enhancing her skills.
Yu Han’s dedication to dance has also led her to participate in various dance competitions in Singapore, Perth, Macau, and Thailand. Her performances at events such as Asia’s Got Talent, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), Sembcorp Marine, Child Aid 2022 and school performances like Rapport have allowed her to showcase her skills and passion for dance.
