Please note – this is an approximate guide. Actual levels for each genre will be determined by entrance age and progress.
Pre Program – 4yrs

For students turning 4yrs within the calendar year. Students will study Classical Ballet and Modern Jazz in a combined 1-hr lesson.

Pre Program – 5yrs

For students turning 5yrs within the calendar year. Students will study Classical Ballet and Modern Jazz in a combined 1-hour lesson.

Program Levels 1 and 2

Ballet, Modern Jazz, and Tapping are combined into a 2-hr combined class. Students will gain strong fundamentals in dance at these levels.

Program Level 3 and Above

Students may be required to study at least two genres, with Classical Ballet being mandatory. Contemporary classes are available once students reach the appropriate level. Acrobatics classes, grouped by skill level, are also an option.

Open Classes

After completing all examinations, students may join Open Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary classes. These classes are available only to those who have completed their training at Jitterbugs Swingapore® and offer open technique and choreography to help maintain skills, prepare for preprofessional/ professional programs, or support an interest in dance alongside other career pursuits.

Teaching Certificate and Diploma Programs

Dancers who have completed the syllabus in a particular genre can work with our teachers towards CSTD Teaching Certificates and Diplomas, which are globally recognized. Arrangements for certificate and diploma training are made privately upon request.
