MS ALYSSA YAM
Dance is the spark that makes everything else a little brighter. I hope to inspire others with my passion to keep dancing through life, one step at a time.
Alyssa’s life in dance began at the age of four, sparked by a natural love for self-expression that has only grown stronger over the years. Since joining Jitterbugs Swingapore in 2021, she has trained under the mentorship of Ms Tiffany Wrightson, Ms Shanti Gomes, Ms Felicia Er, and Mr Yang Weicheng. Under their guidance, she has mastered the full graded syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, and the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Modern Jazz and Contemporary.
Alyssa has performed in several notable local productions, including the National Day Parade (2022), ChildAid (2022), and the Esplanade’s March On (2025). She has also participated in various competitions, including the CSTD Regional Competition, Evolution, and Get The Beat.
At 18, Alyssa successfully attained her CSTD Modern Jazz Teaching Certificate and is currently pursuing her CSTD Ballet teaching credentials after completing her Major CSTD Ballet exam last year.
Having gained invaluable insights from both her mentors and the students she has taught, Alyssa is passionate about sharing her love for the art form. She remains dedicated to her own growth as a dancer while motivating others to reach their full potential and discover the same genuine love for dance that has driven her own journey.
