MS CAROLYN PUAH NEO

Teacher, Choreographer

Dance has taught me confidence, discipline and the joy of expressing who I am. I hope to help my students discover that same joy through movement.

Carolyn began her dance journey at the age of four, where she first discovered her love for movement and performance. Since then, she has trained across a wide range of dance styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Contemporary and Hip Hop, developing a strong and versatile technical foundation. She also began training in Acrobatics and Artistic Gymnastics at eight years old, further strengthening her flexibility, control of and dynamic performance quality.

Since joining Jitterbugs Swingapore in 2022, Carolyn has completed her Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Tap and Jazz graded syllabus, reflecting her commitment to continual growth as both a dancer and educator. She has also undergone formal Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet training, which has strengthened her classical technique, alignment and movement quality. Carolyn has performed and competed extensively in Singapore and internationally, with notable experiences in Perth, Australia, and Los Angeles, USA.

In addition to dance, Carolyn began vocal training at eight years old and later competed in the American Protégé vocal competition. Her success led to a performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall, an experience that further shaped her confidence, musicality and stage presence.

Carolyn is passionate about sharing her love for the performing arts and brings her real-world performance experiences into every class. She is dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging and engaging learning environment where students can develop strong technique, confidence and a genuine joy for dance and performance.
